Hi. Got my email notification today that I have an appointment for interview for the i-485 application on May 24, 2011 at the National Benefits Center. My question is, how about the 1-130 or the petition? What happens to that? Thanks...

May 24, 2010- non USC arrived on B2

Sept. 2010- USC & non-USC introduced by a friend on FB

Oct. 10, 2010- USC & non-USC met

Oct-Nov 2010- dating, fell in love

Nov. 23, 2010- B2 expired

January 11, 2011- married at Christian Church and living together

March 11, 2011- i-485, i-130 & i-765 filed via USPS(Day 1)

March 14, 2011- Packet received at Chicago Lockbox (Day 3)

March 17, 2011- Email Notifications received from USCIS of their receipt of the packet, and transferring to NBC. (Day 6)

March 17, 2011- Checks cashed by USCIS (Day 6)

March 21, 2011- Received NOA1 (Day 10)

April 4, 2011- Received Biometrics for i-765

April 8, 2011- Plan for Early Walk-In, and inquiry about i-485 biometrics (SUCCESSFUL)

April 22- I-485 Touched, I-130 and I-765 (still initial review status)

April 23- Received Appointment Letter for Green Card Interview set on May 24, 2011 (Wish me Luck!!!)

May 12, 2011- Received EAD Card!!!

May 13, 2011- Will go get SSN

May 19, 2011- Got my SS Card in the Mail :)

May 24, 2011- Interview Date for Green Card (Successful!!! Card Production Ordered)

Waiting for the Green Card!!! :):):)

June 2, 2011- GREEN CARD IS HERE!!!

well san fransisco is not small and i am sure they have many applications as well, c'mon federal plaza LITTLE BIT FASTER :)

I-130 petition is approved at the interview, you don't receive an approval for that before the interview

Oh, wow, the interviews just keep coming in! :o Grats! :D Fingers crossed for you!

EDIT: I still haven't heard if they accepted my evidence or not. :( Will they send any regular mail, if they accept it? Or will I just simply not know, unless they send me another RFE? I hear the website isn't reliable.

I-130 petition is approved at the interview, you don't receive an approval for that before the interview

Who knows. I dont think we will get interviews till July the earliest.

Thanks. I also haven't gotten any EAD update. @ vkn- that's a good rhyme & hopefully will end like this " now evryone has their GC on hand" lol. I'm enjoying Lake Tahoe now and the interview was good news to bring with me on our vacation. Good luck to all of us.

it just seeme like othet people's timelines are faster than Mine.I mean it's almost been a month since I sent the documents and I haven't received biometrics letter yet and its making me nervous haha. the last update on the website is April 7. I mean I guess they are working since they sent me the alien reg number letter but it just seems too slow

Wow that is awesome! I remember we received our biometrics letter on the same exact date and I did an early walk-in two days earlier than you.

This made my hopes up! Im happy for your fast progress. God is good all the time! :D

we applied on the same date i did my biometric earlier than you but it is what it is you just never know how it turns out.
