Well I have seen cases where people have gotten their interview letter even before they had their biometrics appt... So this could have been one of those cases. But all of this is speculation- too hard to know for sure! Just hope we all get good news soon too!

Hello Everyone I summited my package March 8, NOA the 23th of march a week later the biometrics appointment for april 18th, April 4th walkin biometrics sucessfully and today april 18th i got my interview appointment letter for MAY 23 at 1 pm! Super excited and nervous. Any idea when will i get my EAD card?

i just hope her/his town is as small as ours..or USCIS should pass those bulk of paperworks wherever that person lives

If we call USCIS to check on our case status can we speak to a representative or is it just an automated response telling us the same useless information that the online case status does??

03/19/11 - NOA Text recieved from USCIS

03/18/11 - Official NOA letter recieved in mail! The process is offically in motion :)

03/26/11 - Received Biometrics Appt in Mail- April 11!

we have an option to talk to a human being...WHO WILL JUST REPEAT WHAT THE AUTOMATED MACHINE would do..LOL!! i just did and i was rolling my eyes while she was stating it... -_- just wasted 5 minutes of my life.. but some people here get thru a second officer..like a real IO to talk to..i dunno how they would do that...

@mhaye: do u mine updating timeline in your timeline thing..or state it in the sig so we can all keep track of each other's cases..if you want. :)

that person who got her/his case moved fast is from salt lake city, utah...cmon people let's move there XD

i just checked the processing times there and it says: 4 months and for her/his case to be THAT fast... lol i'm so jealous... xD!!!

i called uscis last week but as usual, the uscis said that my ead is not yet approved and that i should wait for 90days from filing date to get the result of the ead application.i want to call uscis everyday coz i see no update online.

The USCIS website status is not really indicative of anything - from what I have read here, it is highly unreliable, inconsistent, and some people don't see any changes in their online status even though their case is moving along just fine and they are getting their EADs and APs and interviews. The fact that there is nothing changing in the online profile doesn't mean that no one is going through your case - it just means that the website profile system sucks.

I don't think calling them about the EAD will really make any difference - they will just keep telling you what you already know. It's USCIS' goal to issue them within 90 days, and in most cases it seems to take less time to get it, but until that 90 days has passed they won't give you any additional information - unless you have some special circumstances to try to get it expedited.

Congrats rfranzz! Somehow I feel us NYC folks won't be getting our interview appointments quite so fast.. but here's to hoping!

If the area he lives in is sparsely populated , then the District Office closest to him would probably have less of a case load therefore he would be seen faster. If you live in a bigger city with more immigration applicants...then your process will be longer.

Hey everyone!! Yes i live in Salt Lake City.. We have a lot of immigrants here but not as much as the big cities like New York or LA. I guess I'm just lucky. I just wish i could get my EAD cuz i need a job :( but i can't do anything without the EAD. and my wife just lost her job.
