so for all those who says walk-in isn't helpful read the above post...

surely it still varies differently for everybody.

But in this case, (especially in this case), it's hard to say that the early walk-in had any advantage - it may just mean the Field Office is processing faster than normal (or have more hands or less case load). He is one of the rare outliers. He may still have received his interview letter about 2 weeks after his scheduled biometrics!

Ironically I'm not sure that the walk in biometrics has anything to do with it. While I know it can affect some cases, I have heard of several people who have gotten their interview appointment date before their biometrics were even taken. They just need them at some point in time before the interview. Again though, you are moving very fast, so regardless of whether it played a role or not, you should be happy :)

Thank you. The boiler in the basement had caught fire.Yea it was very tough but now things are reverting back to normal. My EAD is approved that is the positive side of this.

To be quiet honest, I am not sure if the Walkin biometric has anything to do with it. I did the walkin mostly cuz i wanted to EAD card faster and instead i got the interview date faster haha. Anyway either was the walkin or not. I'm happy with the results. It doesn't really hurt to try the walkin but just don't expect is really gonna make a difference just wait and see what can happens. Good luck everyone! Fingers cross!!

don't get me wrong but none of you making any sense, including rfranzzz :-)

he says that his original biometric date was April 18th today, so there's no way he would've received his Interview letter on April 18th, which is today before he done his biometrics. Basically what I am saying his EAD, or an Interview letter for I-485 would NOT be issued without the biometrics.

so I do NOT understand why you guys still insisting on `no i don't think so it didn't help`?
