...and said currently this case (I-765) takes around 3 months to process. oops!

From looking at other recent timelines, it seems as though EAD/AP cards come within about two months of filing, although "officially" USCIS says it's 3 months.

Yeah Lily is right...If you notice on the processing times, it states that if they are currently issuing a document in less time than their projected goal that you will see the time in months...So for example it says 3 months for EAD/AP but which means they are issuing most of them in less than 3 months...Also I heard that biometrics takes 3-4 weeks to go through processing with the FBI so you shoud start to see some activity soon!

Just wanna share my experience..

2 days after my biometrics, i called FBI's 1-800 about my fingerprint status. The operator was nice and transferred me to another line right away when i told him that i wanna know the status of my fp.. The lady asked my name and i just gave her my A number. She said that, FBI received my fp and it was processed by them and the results were sent back to USCIS the very same day i did my biometrics.

My bio appt is on the 22nd but i did an early walk-in. I think USCIS open our files and review it again few days after the dated biometrics appt. :)

you have some balls to call FBI lol. it doesn't make any sense though, I didn't know they have some kind of system on which they have A#s and such... to check ours biometric status and all. weird.

most importantly did you have any touches on or after the biometrics taken?

Hehe! They really have those hotlines for fp status, name check etc for us, just to know that our fp went through coz i dont want a 2nd biometric if the 1st one failed or whatever, but luckily it was good to go.

About the A number, i was referring to Alien Number that USCIS gave us. You can see it in your biometric letter..

Ok so I called FBI too to see my status on biometric stuff

Call the number and then press 2 then 2 again then 9 to speak with someone about your biometric status.

So she said they processed and sent it back the same day.

Here's the question though I asked how many as in two biometrics or one she said one!

Now she couldn't say, can't see which application that is for.

So did you ask how many biometrics in your case or is it supposed to be one?

so well i called too this morning, but didn't bother to ask how many.pretty much he said to me the same things he told you. but at the ASC while I was doing my biometrics, I would peep into his computer, and they would enter biometrics for i-765 then another for i-485. i think you don't have to worry for as long as FBI said they sent it to the agency on the same day, which means everything is good to go. :)
