where re you from and filing from what visa?

it's not yet actually 3 months...since i filed my 1485 and i765..i'm just waiting for my EAD in the mail..

i dunno if it makes a difference, because my apps are in the NBC..i think they are slower than USCIS service centers.

I was from a B1/B2..but my I130's approved already..

I got that document translated! :D It IS the family register document! I'll be sending it out to the USCIS tomorrow. :) Then I'm hoping there's no more trouble. ; ;

Haha, I hope so! They don't actually have a birth certificate in Korea, they have what they call a "family register," and mine is even more unusual since I have no hospital records of my birth or anything (I was found abandoned in an alley), so I really hope this works out! D:

No, because that would just be me saying it; there's no official statements about where or how I was found in my documents. My family register specifically mentions that my "family" was established on that date, with me as the head of the family, both parents and other relatives "No Record." I also attached all the other adoption papers - the document that verifies custody was being transferred from the local police district to the orphanage, and then again to Holt Children, and then finally my parents' adoption permit (which also includes my legal name change from the Korean name they gave me to the name my parents gave me), as well as all adoption permits (granted both from Korea and Norway), and my declaration of citizenship to Norway.

EDIT: A couple of the papers specifically list me as "abandoned child."

I know that it's too early to get worried but it's been 6 days sine the package arrived and I still haven't gotten an electronic notification. I still havent gotten the return receipt either so it's making me really paranoid haha

It takes up to 30 days for the first NOA. You will probably see your checks cashed by Friday.

You will probably be an April filer :P
