Guys, If ya'll really want to get to the bottom of your status, just give USCIS a call. They will tell you everything that's happening with it. I understand the frustration of not being able to closely monitor on our own...I am still not able to check my status online.

Regarding walk-in biometrics, I have read that Mondays are very tough, Wednesday afternoon and Friday afternoons are the day to do walk-ins. I called USCIS again today, yes I'm obsessed, I don't have a date yet.

Also, you can expedite your EAD by contacting your local congressman/woman given the fact that you have a job offer. I am planning to do the same since I also have a job offer starting June. But, in all honesty, I think EAD should arrive for us March Filers by May.

I have noticed that a lot of people who filed in January had their cases transferred to CSC. What's the deal with that ? It seems to be faster (No interview) but I have also seen people's AOS stalled much longer at CSC. Any speculations regarding why some of our cases get transfered to CSC and some stay at NBC ?

I think that K1's usually get transferred to CSC. Anyone else is going to stay at NBC and then go to local District offices.

i found couple web sites to find your congressman, I am gonna send an email and write a mail also call them on or after April 10th. that'd be enough time for them to already approve the EAD.

I haven't thought about it yet, like i said. I am gonna give USCIS till April 10th if nothing happens till then I will. but not based on the cliche fact that `i have a job offer`. I am finishing school this may. If I could I could get a job Monday morning....

it's pretty simple really you just have to follow any of these formats, and talk about your case.

yea we will all be talking about how important is to get a job, stuff like, spent so much money on immigration fees already..paying rent, bills is so hard, my usc wife/husband paying everything stuff like that.

I actually heard that USCIS don't care about hardships, (hardship this wait puts on the beneficiary) anybody knows anything about this??

Finally received my biometrics letter! It was actually delivered on Sat. but I didnt pick it up till Mon morning. Now my date is for 04/20 but I'm gonna see if I can do a walk-in before then

Hey i read you did a walk in biometrics after getting the appointment.. how is that possible? can u get in trouble for going before the appointment?

One was for I485 and I765 dated the 25th of March. The appointment is for April 8th.

The other one was for the I765 which is dated the 23rd of March and that appointment is for April 12th.

Obviously there was some error so Im going to do the Biometrics for the 8th and make sure I have the other notice so they can enter this into the system.

Im not going to do a walk in.

so you received 3 different appointments, haha weird.. one for 485 and 765 and another one for 765 ?

well yea if they are dated april 8th i dont think you need to do early since they are not so far away. mines were for april 15 and 20. god i had to do something...

above all though, i haven't seen any benefits as of yet, no touches nothing...

so to answer; no you won't get any trouble, although i was gonna get arrested haha, at least thats what my wife told me, she came with me, and in the line, i was looking so nervous she was like `dude calm down, you act like you are about to do something bad` haha.

just go to the ASC and wait in the line, the guards checks everybody's paper to see you have an appointment and the guard that check mine said `naaaah it's ok they don't care` when he pointed with his finger to the date on the paper. so it's really depends on the guard i guess. I gave no reason why i am there early, or was asked why i was there, even though my appointments were set to at the end of next month.

oh by the way, i don't remember saying this on this forum yet, it was funny at 7:30 in the morning there were around 30 people waiting maybe more, and when i was leaving (around 8:30ish 9) there were around 10 people waiting downstairs... also, when I was on the floor where they take your fingerprints man there were hardly anybody there... and this is new york city downtown ASC center, it's supposed to be busy right......

To get a concrete confirmation regarding what exactly is happening with your petition, you should simply call USCIS and talk to a Customer Rep. Dial "6" once you are inside the Case Status section so that you can talk to a customer rep who can "search" progress for you.

Just wondering...Can i call them even if i dont have any case number yet?We didnt sign up for the txts/email notifications.
