I created an account on USCIS website but the only receipt that is found is I-485. Does this mean that they have not processed the others (I-130, I-131, I-765)?

To get a concrete confirmation regarding what exactly is happening with your petition, you should simply call USCIS and talk to a Customer Rep. Dial "6" once you are inside the Case Status section so that you can talk to a customer rep who can "search" progress for you.

I haven't got mine either. My husband is about sick of me talking about this. He said ' Im driving him crazy.

What I do, I try to involve my wife with everything first of all...

For example; I woke her up to come with me 7 in the morning to the biometric office. She didn't mind...

Also I don't tell her everything, like 'aaaa case hasnt being touched for two weeks, why oh why, hope they get to it I caaant waaaait..'

I know sharing is good but an american citizen by birth wouldn't understand how we feel, how impatiently we can be (rightfully).

A neutralized citizen can understand this "wait" better.

I know our husbands and wives love us that's why we're here in the first place but you know 'how far they can really "relate"'...

Tell him 'fo' #### sick mate, where's the bloody bio paper' lol

That is so true. lol He can not relate at all. As far as he is concerned, we filed and now we just have to let things do what they do. Yea, i know my husband loves me , he would do anything for me.I feel blessed. Once this is all over; I am going to write my life story. So much happened here in the US, crazy!

I am going to try not to drive him totally round the bend! :innocent:

Are you gonna do your biometrics on the scheduled appointment, or walk-in ?

I am going to try a walk-in on Monday morning, first thing in the morning when the Brooklyn office opens. It's a bit challenging for me, I'm interning full time (9am-5pm) 5 days a week, plus work for a professor in my program, plus have classes, plus I'm writing my thesis... So I can't go there that many times to wait around for however long it will take for them to take my biometrics.. I'll try my luck on Monday morning, and we'll see how it goes. I have a job offer, and I really want to get that EAD as soon as possible, and before biometrics is done they won't probably even look at it.

Guys, If ya'll really want to get to the bottom of your status, just give USCIS a call. They will tell you everything that's happening with it. I understand the frustration of not being able to closely monitor on our own...I am still not able to check my status online.

Regarding walk-in biometrics, I have read that Mondays are very tough, Wednesday afternoon and Friday afternoons are the day to do walk-ins. I called USCIS again today, yes I'm obsessed, I don't have a date yet.

Also, you can expedite your EAD by contacting your local congressman/woman given the fact that you have a job offer. I am planning to do the same since I also have a job offer starting June. But, in all honesty, I think EAD should arrive for us March Filers by May.

This is the number: 1.800.375.5283

Once you dial the number, which I think is "2," in order to get your case status checked, dial 6 so that you can speak to customer rep, they will search it for you. Don't check your status with the automated service.

If you walk-in successfully, does it speed up your case any? I'm scared my biometrics appointment will be in Pittsburgh (2+ hr drive), but I also want to do everything I can to keep my case moving.

Married since 03/02/2011, AOS from F-1 visa, green card granted 05/24/2011.
Blessed with a healthy baby boy, 08/19/2011! We get to keep our family together! Thank you! smile.png

It might, or it might not. The only thing that is for sure is that your EAD cannot be issued until after biometrics is done, so if you plan to, for example, contact your congressman to try to expedite the process there is really no point in doing that until the biometrics is done. If you applied for EAD and AP, I've understood they are the same thing - the EAD will also function as your AP document. So, neither will come until after biometrics.

I personally think it is more helpful for getting the EAD faster, and doesn't necessarily really have any real affect on either the interview date or approval of GC. This is just based on observations here, looking at people's timelines.

I have noticed that a lot of people who filed in January had their cases transferred to CSC. What's the deal with that ? It seems to be faster (No interview) but I have also seen people's AOS stalled much longer at CSC. Any speculations regarding why some of our cases get transfered to CSC and some stay at NBC ?
