so we live in manhattan and we are assigned the one in downtown Varick Street

I got up at 6:30ish and arrived around 7:30. there were around 25-30 people waiting (i was getting really anxious, since there were so many people), even more people were coming every second.

at 8:0 o'clock guard say `please take out your appointment letters`, so we did. he went one by one everyone's papers. when it was mine turn he said `hmm, naaah that's fine`, i was like pheew lol

Went to the 10th floor, The first lady at the desk checked my appointment letter again, (I was like ooh snap...) but nothing was said about anything. filled out the form and went to the second desk.

There another lady checked the appointment letter again said ok, technician came and took me to the FP area, done the fingerprint and he said you should receive it in a month.

then I talked about my I-485 problem to him, first he was unsure but then talked to her supervisor. She found my case thru the system and printed my appointment letter for the I-485 biometrics. then he continued with that FP. nothing was said about any date except after all done, technician said don't show up on the 4/20 (I was like duuh lol)

by the way my printed I485 appointment was scheduled to 4/20, even later then EAD appointment which it was for 4/15

they are really nice people, not like one of those ( i-dont-wanna-be-here-employees of DMV)

now let's see how this will affect the overall process.

Congratulations dude. Gotta give it to the the officer handling your AOS, everything is working so fast with yours.

So, you went to the same ASC where you had your scheduled Biometrics ? I am curious if one can go to a different ASC other than the one on the Biometrics letter.

yea i went to the one in downtown, around west Houston street. but I read somewhere that you can go to any one of these offices, i think it's at the discretion of the guards and people there to let you in.

woooaahhh!!! congrats!!! btw, what was it that he referred to that you will receie after a month???

he meant the EAD, surely whatever he says doesn't really mean anything. Considering all of the timelines here, after a biometric, EAD should arrive in a month. I765 hasn't touched yet btw.

well yes from now on nothing needs to be done from my side, just gotta wait for the EAD in the mail. No i am not `work ready` still, one has to have the EAD to be able to work,

I would like to be added to this list of March filers as well. :D Our case got transferred to CSC on March 18th. We still haven't gotten a Biometrics appt letter yet. Does this depend on your service center? Ours is Dallas.

hmm nice, transferred to CSC usually means no interview and a faster timeline.but who knows... surely it depends on the service center depending on how busy they are.

In the USCIS website, when you check your case status, is there anything new besides the " INITIAL REVIEW" stage your forms are in? DO update us, coz I am actually following your timeline since mine is closer to yours. Where will you see the "Case touched" message? TY. :hehe:

you know case it touched when you see a new date, on the Last Updated column, mines hasn't been updated ever since the day checks were cashed, so no nothing yet, I am sure it's early to expect anything.

and yes everything still says `Initial Review`

Finally I can see my AOS online. Still nothing for EAD or AP, but today they transferred my case to California Service Center! Yay!

Great! I have heard that CSC means no Interview...sweet. Now, I also need to see my status online, haven't been able to, and get that Biometrics letter, .

I just wanted to request to you if you could update your "signature." It helps to have everyone's timeline up to date .

Thanks.

Just talked to a Customer Representative at USCIS regarding my case status and they also said that the system is having a bit of an issue but, everything is fine.

My Biometrics appointment has already been requested but they don't have a date yet.

seeing my post on the other thread?

this guy on the January filers did an early biometric too two days after receiving it, xiau i think his name, forget about the EAD, he received the `interview letter`(within 41 days of applying) before he received the EAD, now that's a WOW

ok that doesn't imply that we're gonna be lucky like that too, but hey who knows..

so yea definitely do an early walk-in
