i 864 income question

Just a quick question about the current income of my salary....

I just received my letter of employment and it states my pay rate per hour x number hours per week and that i work monday thru friday 9am-5:30pm ...

(I take an hour lunch break so i will not include those hours)

However, we have 11 holidays per year we take...do i subtract those days from my income and provide a discription in my letter the letter didnt say anything about that but i want to be truthful?? (i have to include letter anyway to describe child support, my other income and asset info)

You do not need to subtract holidays.

For example work 35 hrs per week, * $10 hr * 52 weeks = $18,200

Keep it simple.

Generally it is 2080 hours X rate of pay for the annual wages. GENERALLY that is....what most people use as a rule of thumb to estimate for budgeting purposes so I'd guess it would be safe to use this to estimate your yearly wages. Best of luck!! :thumbs:

Ohh ok...its just i think my brain is starting to fry...i know you can understand...but even if my paystubs reflect a day off now and then i will be ok to just put what the employment letter says?

Yes you should be ok if you use this........it should all average out over the year's time. Overtime, extra pay ect. vs the time off and holidays. I don't think, as long as you don't include over the 2080 hours worked, that you'd encounter any problems. If you only work the 37.5 hours per week then it would be 1950 X your rate of pay. Relax and don't try to read too much into it. I know it will make your head spin if you let it. Best of luck!! :thumbs:

i am guessing here...

as long as you are not stating your salary higher than it actually is i think that should be ok.
