at least to me she was the best! I could not have asked for a better Mother in law. I am so frustrated and mad I want to punch something! I can't be there with my husband to help him go through this terrible time. I didn't get to say goodbye to her because of stupid Immigration. If I was a criminal I could understand not being allowed across the border but I'm not and it pisses me off to no end to have to go through this!

I don't understand, why aren't you allowed to cross the border? Many MANY beneficiaries visit during the visa process

I have a 5 year ban for an overstay. When I was living with my husband in the US I was told from a lawyer that I can live there no problem as I was married I just couldn't work. I am ok with doing the whole Immigration process and such now...it's just at times like this when you lose a loved one it makes no sense to me. Sorry, I'm just upset.

I'm sorry for your loss. It is hard when you lose someone you love and you are not even able to say goodbye, nor to be there to support those others who you love and who share your loss.

I also missed the funeral of my father in law to be. We weren't denied the first time for something totally wrong and as soon as the news reached the village his father apparently had a heart attack. We were both dealing with so much back then as I can image you are now. All things in life will pass and you cannot undo the sands of time. Just work on those of the future

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.
