Case Completed Feb 16th 2011. Does anyone have an estimate of interview date. My priority date is June 05, they are now at Jan 05. Will this affect my interview scheduling? please help :help:

Welcome to VJ

Oh yes it will definitely affect your interview scheduling. I have a cousin.. her priority date is April 12, 2005. Her case was completed back in October 2010 and has been waiting for an interview to be scheduled ever since. So this question can be BEST answered in about 11 days as to just how much longer you have to wait. As of now a true answer cannot be given because if this question was asked 3 months ago then you would be advised approx 30 days.

Thanks for the info Ricardo. But i dont understand what your saying about your cousin, if the case was completed October how comes no interview was given. The priority date cut-off back in October was FEB 06. So your cousin's priority date would have been current. Please explain...

You're welcome so i got home and looked it up. The case was completed on October 22, 2010 at that time the priority cut off date was Feb 15, 2006 all the way through December 2010. The case was not scheduled for an interview because the embassy had no slots for this case category interview. When January 2011 rolled around the cut off date retrogressed to the current (January 1, 2005). In January when I called on my cousin's behalf i was advised it would be about 3 months before she would be scheduled for an interview assuming the cut off dates would move least one month for the next 3 months. Well That did not happen and so now all we can do is see what the next cut off date has in store. One must understand that the embassy schedules interviews for the IR/finance visa categories first and then schedule the family based interviews if there are other open slots.

Wow thats quite something your cousin must be very devastated,i mean, after completed case from October all now. Y Jamaica has to be so backward i always wonder, other countries are very quick on opening slots. Now Retrogression hit cases that makes situation worst.Nothing never happen before the time still, so all we have to do is just hope and pray the priority dates advance and we are caught in it! What category is your cousin? Mine is FB1, i thought that family based would get first preference...
