So we got my wife's green card today. If there's anyone on here still who has received their green card, I have a question. Is the photo on your Greencard worthless? The one on my wife's card is so dark, its mostly just a black outline of her head. There's no way to positively identify her by looking at the photo.

I am going on 10 months now and i havent heard anything from them. They told me to wait 60 days but i see the people that applied many months after me they have already been approved. They dont tell me anything besides that i have to wait. What do i need to do to get a stamp on my passport? Can easily travel outside the country with that? If anyone knows whats going on with the wait, please lets us know.

Has anyone's form I751 taken one year to be approved or longer than that because its been 60 days and uscis said they haven't made a decision on the RFE I submitted 60 days ago now they extended my case and said they need another 60 days to make a decision on my case. so in another 60 Days it will be one year for my case and still no guarantee if they make a decision because the uscis operator said sometimes it can take longer than one year in that being said then i would have to get another stamp on my passport since the one year time frame would be expired. I don't understand why uscis is taken so long in making a decision in my case.....

MdAngie, My wife travelled overseas in November and had absolutely no problems. All she used was the 1 year extension letter that we received when we submitted our GC paperwork earlier this year. She did NOT make the infopass appointment to get her passport stamped.

Hi Shawndoc, We received our GC on 12/16 approval date was 12/13. The picture on the card is not the greatest but it is good enough to make a positive ID.

I am still waiting and i just called the USCIS # and they told me they are already in April application and mine was received in March. The agent i spoke with told me he was going to submit a Service Request but they always do but i dont here anything... is this normal??

With enough proof, the interview is just a matter of formality. Try to remember date of occations, and be honest. Whatever you do, don't lie.

the officer just ask me how long did i stay in philippines. Hope all of us march filer should hear good news soon.. good luck to us!

think it might be time to try to get a service request put in. its been well over 60 days. make sure you speak to a tier 2 operator (aka a supervisor/IO). you need to get things moving!

We were random picked for an interview at the local office. The interview was extremely basic. Just confirmed we are who we said we were on the forms, asked us some basic questions about some of the information we submitted. Asked us if we had any additional information, so we provided a lease renewal and some other paperwork which was done after we filed for the ROC.
