Should i be concern that i have no yet receive nor heard anything from immigration??? Its been almost 8 months now that i am waiting for an answer. My status says Received on March 14th. I called immigration about a month ago and they said they were going to submit a service request to produced my card but i havent receive my approval letter. What should i do??

did they tell you how long you should wait before calling them again, but do not think it would hurt if you would give them another call! best of luck!

Now past 60 days since the interview where I was promised my wife would have her card within 4 weeks. Still no official letter of approval or any official communications. However the paperwork they gave us at the interview says to wait 90 days before following up.

We're at day 67. I called the National Customer Service Center today. The guy said it hasn't been approved yet but since it is outside their processing time limits he'll kick it up to a service ticket and they'll get back to me by Nov 10.

Of course the interviewer told us we were approved and we did get a letter a month later from the local office saying we were approved. So something is screwed up.

Anyhow I just opened an InfoPass appointment for Friday morning. We'll go get her passport stamped for travel as she intends to go home sometime around the end of year holidays. Will also ask them if they know the problem on their end for the long delay.

Sigh.

May 7, 2007 -- I-129F K1 sent to NSC

Dec 26, 2007 -- K1 Visa approved.

But she says the paperwork is now on its way to get the green card. I've heard that before. So we got the passport stamp. They won't let you keep the temporary green card if you get the passport stamp, so we had to surrender the GC. The passport stamp is good for one year and indicates temporary permanent residence status as well as work authorization.

Do you need get your passport stamped if you are planning to travel? Would the letter we received stating the 1 year extension not suffice? We are planning an overseas trip but would like to avoid the hassle of making an infopass appt. since we'd have to go to the USCIS San Antonio office to get the stamp (we live in Austin).

My case got approved on 09/25 and I received GC today. I was really stressed out and I guess all that was for nothing cuz GC finally arrived :) It looks totally different than the temporary one and its actually green laughing.gif

My case got approved on 09/25 and I received GC today. I was really stressed out and I guess all that was for nothing cuz GC finally arrived :) It looks totally different than the temporary one and its actually green laughing.gif

We also received the 10-years GC. We got duplicate mails yesterday saying our application was approved and today, GC showed up in mail. Surprising but not complaining :D

Congrats to all the recent couples that got the approvals and gc's in the mail. We are still waiting. Haven't called yet to find out what's the hold up. Anyone who's done it recently have the # and which options to get to someone to request an inquiry. Thanks.

Today 10/31/2011 I have receved the approval letter for ROC at Vermont Service Center via USPS. No confirmation email and the online case still shows Initial Review. I-751 date 03/17/11, NOA1 03/23/11 , Biometrics 04/27/11 , Approved 10/27/11.It's been more than 7 months...Please add me to the list! Will update when I receive the actual card. Best of luck and patience to those still waiting!

Do you need get your passport stamped if you are planning to travel? Would the letter we received stating the 1 year extension not suffice? We are planning an overseas trip but would like to avoid the hassle of making an infopass appt. since we'd have to go to the USCIS San Antonio office to get the stamp (we live in Austin).

Argent we just got back from overseas about 3 weeks ago. My husband brought the 1 year extension letter along with his expired green card and we had no trouble at all going through immigration in the airports. When we came back & went through JFK airport, the immigration officer said they get a lot of fraud letters, so they send us to another section after our passports are stamped for arrival and it only took like an extra 5 minutes for them to verify the authenticity of the extension letter. We had no problems at all and everything went smoothly. So you should be fine with the extension letter & expired green card for international travel. :)
