I think ours stayed in that state, until "card production ordered", so that sounds normal to me.

Yup, that's all it will say apparently until they make their decision. We've done biometrics and had our case referred to the local office to conduct an interview, and it still just shows "initial review" online.

This is inline with markb's response, so I presume I have nothing to worry about at this point. Thanks.

Well this was weird. My wife got her physical CA Driver's License on Saturday. They're only supposed to issue it through the end of her visa. Which means it should be June of 2012, since her green card expired in June of this year, and we have the 1 year extension letter from having filed ROC. Instead, its valid through the end of 2014.

Don't know how or why that happened, but at least now she's legal to drive and has a valid ID good for the next few years, no matter how long the ROC process takes.

:) This is normal process I guess now a days. I was expecting the same thing, however, I got my license renewed to be valid till 2016 while my I-751 was still pending. When you apply for a license, DMV sends a query to USCIS database on you status online. If the database returns your status as you are legal in USA for a Indefinite period of time, then DMV gives you the license for the maximum date allowed by the state.

Well this was weird. My wife got her physical CA Driver's License on Saturday. They're only supposed to issue it through the end of her visa. Which means it should be June of 2012, since her green card expired in June of this year, and we have the 1 year extension letter from having filed ROC. Instead, its valid through the end of 2014.

Don't know how or why that happened, but at least now she's legal to drive and has a valid ID good for the next few years, no matter how long the ROC process takes.
