I did walk-in for my Biometrics at ASC Oxnard Ventura and I was able to do it without a problem.

I let everyone pass ahead of me even I was there earlier than them since they have schedule.I was #4 on queue and was able to complete Biometrics in 30-40 minutes including the waiting time.

So again, for those who may want to do early biometrics (walk-in) at ASC 2000 Outlet Center Drive, Oxnard Ventura --- they allow it. I went there Wednesday by the way so I also suggest middle of the week.

I'm updating our status... I've received text and email messages today that my hubby's green card is in production as of yesterday (June 13). We should expect to receive it in the mail in 30 days. Yay

I'm Shawn & Lisa on the tracking form. Not sure how to update the latest status. We've had our application diverted to the Santa Ana office for them to conduct an interview (joy).

Letter is dated 6/14.

Post mark is 6/30.

Received in the mail 7/1.

They just asked us to bring in the originals of what we submitted, so I'm guessing its either we're one of the "lucky" few who get picked at random for an interview, or because my wife is several years older than me it got flagged.

Any one have any idea how long between it being sent to the local office and when we can expect to receive an appointment for the interview? What makes it even more fun is that if we use the USCIS website to track the application, it doesn't show any updates.

We've been waiting almost two months for them to schedule an interview. I sent a letter to the local office at the one month point to make sure the schedule notice didn't get lost in the mail. But have heard nothing yet.

May 7, 2007 -- I-129F K1 sent to NSC

Dec 26, 2007 -- K1 Visa approved.

Sep 16, 2008 -- AOS/EAD/AP sent to Chicago

Apr 01, 2009 -- Conditional green card arrives.

Feb 19, 2011 -- Mailed I-751 Packet to lift conditions

Nov 11, 2011 -- Permanent GC rev'd in mail.

Apr 25, 2012 -- Mailed N-400 Naturalization

Aug 16, 2012 -- Citizenship Interview. Approved.

Sep 06, 2012 -- Citizenship Oath.

I was waiting impatiently to get my biometrics appointment letter for, like, more than 3 months now. After making some phone calls and e-mails with USCIS and looong wait (they were pretty frustrating), I finally figured out that my biometrics data is "current" since I did it within the last 15 month to get my Reentry Permit. Now I just have to wait. I hope I'll get approved before my biometrics data expires :whistle:

I think people in New York metro area wait longer than other parts of cities or states. I waited almost 2 months for me to get biometrics done. I've seen some other people from NYC area waiting 2-3 months, although you'll be surprised that benefits centers in New York area are not so busy. Wait a bit and see what happens. Hardest part of the immigration is to wait. Most cases, if you submitted the right documents and abided by the law, you'll be fine. Good luck to you and hope people who submitted I-751 in New York could discuss their timeline.

We're still waiting for my wife's green card, after getting approved on May 12. We called a couple of weeks ago to find out what happened, and they finally got back to us via email today. They claim to have lost my wife's signature, so she needs to go back in for another biometrics appointment. Unfortunately, they refer to the "enclosed biometrics appointment notice", but it's not in the email. We're hoping they're going the mail the notice soon. No word on whether we'll have to pay a second biometrics fee. Anybody else dealt with repeating biometrics?

AOS:

03-20-2009: Married in San Diego (wife: F-1 visa and Chinese citizen, husband: US citizen)

03-29-2009: USCIS received AOS packet

04-03-2009: NOA1 issued

04-23-2009: Biometrics appointment

05-20-2009: EAD received

06-08-2009: Interview, approved

03-09-2011: I-751 and supporting documentation mailed to CSC via first class mail
