Hi There Friends,

Sorry for a delayed post. I did get my Biometrics done at Austin USCIS office.. Believe me it was the quickest Goverment process done ever. We were in and out in about 5 Mins. They got me in, I filled the form & in less then 2 minutes i was called for the photo and then fingerprints. All done in 5 mins....

Now waiting for the big good news soon.... Hope things are rollong good for all of you out there in the same process.

A very reliable source informs me that the VSC is transferring the rest of its operations from St. Albans to Essex (to a larger facility). Once everyone is settled, they'll concentrate on one application type at a time in order to catch up. The move in later 2008 took around 9 months to catch up from. ROC applications are running at about 6 months at the VSC now. This may be confusing, si man, but the short story is that it could take awhile for our papers to be looked at, sigh man.

I was surfing through the different boards for ROC filers and saw this little tidbit in the January 2011 board. Now, my husband and I already figured we're looking at Sept. before he receives approval, just by how the timelines are going.

I really wonder if that time frame may extend out, quite a bit more than that. Not much to do, but wait.........though I don't always have the greatest amount of patience in situations such as these.

We got our bio letter on Friday (May 6). The letter is dated May 4. Bio appointment is June 1.

We may be crossing at Detroit rather than Peace when we head back for a wedding....I'm a bit nervous with an expired GC (but the extension letter) if they'll be a pain about it? I've crossed their plenty of times, but because it's such a big border, they tend to be a bit more, umm, can I say "cranky"? :P

Bio letter received today for 6/3. :whistle:

Are any other NYers going to try an early walk-in? If the Manhattan office is so busy, I somehow don't like the chances of success ...

We're scheduled at the Jamaica, Queens office, so not sure that they will allow early Bio metrics earlier either. Anyone have luck with the Jamaica office?
