That was my understanding too, I am not so sure if it is after you get the appointment letter or after you get the actual biometrics done.

You use the receipt number of the appoitment letter to track your status online. You will not be able to use your NOA1 receipt number for tracking purposes.

Can someone explain how they got early biometrics appts? Do you have to have any special circumstances or do you just do a walk-in?

Does it speed up the process at all if you go for an early biometrics appointment?

I believe most just go as walk-ins and are able to be processed but depends on the location, some take walk-ins some don't.

Whether or not it speeds up the process, I don't know. Anyone else?

I suspect that it does not speed up the process, because there is other stuff happening at the same time that does not depend on the biometrics. Rescheduling to a later date could slow things down, of course.

Maricar did her biometrics today in Oklahoma City. They wouldn't let her in the door until 15 minutes prior to her appointment. I'm glad we didn't try to do an early biometrics. I would hate to drive 100+ miles and be turned away.

Now all we need is the "Verification of Inclusion" letter from VSC for my stepdaughter. I have a feeling I will need to call the customer service line soon to find out where the letter is.

Well "Walk in" Bio people here will let you know if things are speeded up by it ! Surely I would of thought that getting it done 5, 10, or more days earlier can only be good in the long run.We have seen that many of the earlier filers have received RFE's only after having done their Bio appointments. So having done it early any chance of an RFE or your approval would surely come earlier?

We were only early due to being in the area checking out the location of our center . It was a different to the one we had during the AOS process once there we decided to try and do a walk in. I was told to come back in a couple of hours to let the numbers go down .After those 2 hours and waiting in line the appointment was done

Good luck to all whether early Bio or not !

Hi guys new here.

here is my timeline..

Married 9/2008

was on H1b

applied for AOS: 3/2010

approved AOS: 7/2010

I-751

Separated 01/2011

Divorce finalized 3/16/2011

Mailed I-751 to VSC 4/6/2011

Received at AOS: 4/8/2011

Questions:

We moved from Oklahoma to Nevada in december 2010 and filed an onlie AR-11

After Seperation I moved back to Oklahoma and filed another AR-11

I-751 has my current address in Oklahoma.

Any issues regarding this?

I am planning on moving to a different state in 2 months for a job and planning on filling AR-11 and of course call the 1-800 number. How does the processing go as far as address changes?

This is what I think I know. Please correct me if I am wrong? Once the I-751 waiver is filed, biometrics done, the packet gets transferred to local field office from VSC? Then the I/O at the local office decides to call for an interview or not?
