So I am planning on taking half a day tomorrow to do my biometrics. Who knows what will happen with this government stuff, but at least I know I'm in the system and can check it off my list....here's hoping they let me in early!

Which service center are you going to? I'd like to do my biometrics early, I wonder if the one in Alexandria is gonna let me do it.

Updating myself.....Decided to give it a shot and go to the USCIS office to do my biometrics early (scheduled for 4/21). Opened at 8 a.m. and I arrived about 8:20. I wouldn't say the office was super friendly, but the front desk woman looked at my information, asked for my ID and asked me to fill out some paperwork. Filled out a bit of information about myself, went to the next desk, she gave me a number, and I waited for about 10 minutes. My number was called, I went in for my finger prints, a picture, and I was done! All told I would say it took about 30 minutes (with the wait).

Glad to have that checked off the list! :dance:

Chibby, I went to Alexandria, they didn't even mention my date being April 21st, just stamped my paper and let me in! Good luck.
