Hi Everyone! TGIF!!! I am putting the final touches on my cover letter and I will be sending out our packet today! :unsure: Any last minute advice? I read on another monthly thread that some people punched holes in the tops of all their paperwork....did anyone here do that? They seemed to think it maybe gave them some brownie points and they got their bio quickly??? :bonk: I will be falling in the April filers category. Hopefully VSC will speed up!! Good luck to all of you!

In terms of hole punches, I read it in the packaging guidelines too but I did not do it intentionally. I was bit hesitant to put holes in things like copy of marriage certificate, tax return transcripts, etc.

It will be a good poll to find out if putting holes according to guidelines have any impact on the processing time.

In terms of hole punches, I read it in the packaging guidelines too but I did not do it intentionally. I was bit hesitant to put holes in things like copy of marriage certificate, tax return transcripts, etc.

I went ahead and punched holes in almost everything. It only took a couple of minutes so we'll see what happens. I put in my cover letter that everything was a copy and they can request originals if they want...so I don't think it hurts to punch holes in it. Anything to make the process as smooth as possible!! :blink: I didn't know there were packaging guidelines...is that on the USCIS website?

That just made me think of something...from the Pirates of the Carribbean movie in regards to Pirate code..."they aren't really rules, they are more like guidelines." :lol:

Who knows though. Say a prayer for me as I send this out this afternoon. I am praying for all of you!!

I sent additional evidence such as driver license with same address, marriage certificate, etc. because we don't have house mortgage, utilities, etc with both our name. Also, couple of my friends went through this process and they had marriage certificate listed so I thought it can't hurt to send a copy. I don't think it's required though.

Thanks champi! I appreciate the link. I didn't put holes in the actual I-751 and the check of course, but everything else I did (oh & the pictures & cards). I too am also sending in a copy of our marriage certificate both in English & Arabic. We also don't have utitilies in both our names so I wanted to send everything else I could think of.

At least this wait won't be as long as the first wait & fortunately we are together during this wait instead of being 6000 miles apart!

Yeah the two hole punch. I went ahead and did it and just put everything together with a binder clip. :) We'll see what happens.

Our Visa Journey

07/29/07 ---- Mailed I-129F

08/25/07 --- Check finally cashed (8/27 I should be able to see the R number on the back).

08/27/07 --- NOA1 Arrives from CSC and I create my account profile on the USCIS.Gov web-site (the clock starts)!!!

02/05/08 --- After 191 days NOA2 (Approval) comes at last!!!!

2/14/08 --- NVC sends letter saying that it's on the way to the US Embassy in Bangkok

2/25/08 --- She receives Packet 3 from the Embassy

3/29/08 --- She receives Packet 4 with interview date (July 11th).

3/30/08 --- I e-mail the Embassy asking to make the date earlier because I've already got our tickets for June 13th!!!

5/6/08 --- No help from the Embassy. Rebooked tickets and vacation till September.

5/21/08 --- Embassy calls her and moves interview to May 27th!!!!! You have got to be kidding me!!!

9/21/08 --- POE San Francisco!!!!

12/8/08 --- Married!!!!

12/15/08 --- Mail AOS + AP + EAD package to Chicago

12/28/08 --- Come back from vacation and find AOS/AP/EAD NOA 1 and Bio App notices in the mailbox!!!

1/13/09 --- Bio Appt

4/22/09 --- AOS Interview "APPROVED"!!!

3/04/2011 --- OUR BABY IS BORN... We have a son!!!!!

3/10/2011 --- Mail I-751 application to lift conditions on residency

3/12/2011 --- I-751 Package received by CSC

3/14/2011 --- NOA 1

3/21/2011 --- NOA 2 (Biometrics Appt 4/18/2011)

5/27/2011 --- ROC Approved. 10 Year Green Card arrived 6/04/2011

Received NOA and my whole package back today because they said we filed it before the 90 day period. I received a reminder from USCIS by postage a few weeks ago that is why I sent it. Just letting you know incase anyone in same situation.

Really? If you don't mind, when was your expiration date? Ours is 24th of June and I wonder if we sent it too early too.
