May 6, 2011 - BIO done in 10 minutes...no re-takes this time :)

June 27, 2011 - Email rec'd "Status - Approved"

July 1, 2011 - 10 yr GC arrived

My filing date totally snuck up on me! Amazing how fast 2 years can go.

This is what I'm sending in...any thoughts? Enough info? Not enough? Recommendations? :thumbs:

- 2009 taxes (2008 doesn't have both of our names on it, should we still send it in?)

- cruise information/flights/picture that we took in 2010

- joint checking account (copies of 1 statement for 2008/09/10/11

- doc showing homeowners insurance together

- doc showing auto insurance together

- copy of our house "title" that was notarized, signed by the county official, by the previous owners/us, and the lawyer (proving we bought a house together)

- mortgage info

- letter from Discover card stating I'm on as an authorized user

- photocopy of our drivers licenses showing updated address (address is the same)

- affidavit of support from mother-in-law & sister-in-law

- copy of front/back green card

- copies of electric bill w/ both names from 2008/09/10/11

I sent 2 affidavits, but no tax returns, we fill them separately.

Did you send a sheet explaining why you filed separately, if not be on the lookout for a RFE. Joint Tax transcripts are the best evidence one could submit. and that might affect your ability to apply for citizenship in 3 years, as you will need to submit 3 years of joint tax return.

Did you send a sheet explaining why you filed separately, if not be on the lookout for a RFE. Joint Tax transcripts are the best evidence one could submit. and that might affect your ability to apply for citizenship in 3 years, as you will need to submit 3 years of joint tax return.

Katiemanny you are not a very positive person ... I hope I wont get a RFE just for not sending one of the many documents requested...
