Our case status is now showing up online. Does that mean we have a date for biometrics? I thought I heard something about it only showing up online when you have an appointment. Is the appointment letter usually sent in the mail or email?

I will probably be sending in my packet on Friday so I will definitely fall in the April category, but I was wondering. I see a lot of people walk-in and have their biometrics done early. I will be using the Raleigh, NC office and it is 2 hours away. Getting the bio done early, does that speed up the process and you get approved quicker? How do I find out if I can just walk-in for early bio. I would hate to drive 2 hours then get turned away!

Thank you! My husband's license expires on June 27th...so hopefully we get the NOA1 in time to renew. That is so crazy they never sent you the NOA1!

I took my mom for early bio for citizenship process in Charlotte office. It was right before thanksgiving holidays and my mom was planning to be out of town, they hesitantly let her take it early.

Our case status is now showing up online. Does that mean we have a date for biometrics? I thought I heard something about it only showing up online when you have an appointment. Is the appointment letter usually sent in the mail or email?

Our case status is still not showing up, and we got our bio appointment notice last week. So I'm not sure the two are connected at all.

AOS:

03-20-2009: Married in San Diego (wife: F-1 visa and Chinese citizen, husband: US citizen)

03-29-2009: USCIS received AOS packet

04-03-2009: NOA1 issued

04-23-2009: Biometrics appointment

05-20-2009: EAD received

06-08-2009: Interview, approved

07-06-2009: GC received

ROC:

03-09-2011: I-751 and supporting documentation mailed to CSC via first class mail

03-14-2011: I-751 delivered (5 days to go 55 miles!)

03-16-2011: Check cleared

03-18-2011: NOA received, one year GC extension

04-04-2011: Early biometrics in San Marcos, CA

05-12-2011: Card production ordered! (no email notification, though)

05-17-2011: Approval letter received (approval date 5/12)
