Hi to all! We are new here in this thread, we decided to join coz we are learning a lot & at the same time having fun reading reading your posts.

We received our NOA2-email 3/21 & received the hardcopy 3/26. I've been calling NVC-AVR system to check if our case arrived already & it keeps saying that they have no record of our case, so I decided to call the operator & they told me that my case just arrived 3/21 & they told me to call after 4-6wks from the time they received it, coz they still need to put the case in the system. I was approved 3/21 & my case arrived NVC 3/21, is that possible? So, I called them again to confirm when did it arrived exactly & they told me the same thing. Right now, we are in the same boat as our friends here in March-NVC filers who are waiting for their case#, hopefully we all get it soon :yes: . We are planning to call NVC 2x a day (following Saylin's advice) until we get our case# so hubby could start his medical. Congratulations & Goodluck to all! :)

Congrats and WELCOME

I believe it went by a space rocket to arrive at NVC on the same day ;)laughing.gif USCIS obviously has connections with NASA to ship cases super fast.

They must have purchased it AFTER all of us were approved. :D

It's now 12am pacific time, and I decided to call NVC. I wish I waited until it's sunrise, as now I couldn't sleep...

AVR said- missing info on financial evidence..

Is this the infamous RFE message? Or a true RFE? We sent the AOS and IV packets together on 3/18..and the AVR said they mailed the checklist for the missing docs on 3/30.

Hmmm... did it actually say missing information on financial evidence or did it just say "missing information"? Most of us that received the bogus RFE... the AVR only said "missing information... sent out checklist on xxxx" But... if it is giving you specific information then, it might be a true RFE :(

Damn, it must be a new method USCIS is using to ship cases to NVC. That could have saved me about a week if it had gotten to NVC the same day, instead of taking a week. laughing.gif

I'd call an operator asap and find out. It could still be a false RFE, but I'm not sure.

Hi, how do i know if i file a i-864 or a i-864EZ? I trying to send the paperwork today

I-864 and I-864EZ are both the same forms, except the EZ is a shorter version. But to be able to use the EZ, you have to meet all 3 criteria:

1. You are the person who filed or is filing the Form I-130, Petition for Alien Relative, for a relative being sponsored;

2. The relative you are sponsoring is the only person listed on the Form I-130 petition;

3. The income you are using to qualify is based entirely on your salary or pension and is shown on one or more Forms W-2 provided by your employer(s) or former employer(s).

Just got off the phone with a very very rude operator named Tori, and said we need to submit more financial docs. When I requested her to go over them, she said with a smartA#% attitude- "Well, this is a long list, and I am not going over them to you". So I said, I am just wonderin' why cuz we submitted I-864W, and the website was specific that we just submit the form. She said- well you just have to wait. And then said-"anything else?". So, frustrated that I am, let her go.

I am biological mom, and also USC, so the minor children will be derivatives once they come here, so I think we filed the correct form.

Any suggestions? I am so frustrated with this system...I am now telling my husband I just want to go back home, and take our 2 yr old to the Philippines so all my children will be together.

I'd call again and hopefully you'll get another operator who's actually nice and willing to talk with you.

These operators should realise that everyone who is calling probably hasn't seen their SO in weeks or months and all we want is a simple answer to our question, not a smart a** response.

Definitely call an operator to see if your case is complete! Mine was the day after my SIF, and the AVR only updated a day after that.

Thanks, Saylin. I just called NVC and spoke to a really nice, friendly lady. She said that they have reviewed our case today, and it doesn't look like anything is missing, and that it will be sent for a final review before the case is closed. I asked her how long that final review will take, she said give it a week. She also mentioned that they only schedule interviews during the 2nd week of the month, so as long as the final review gets completed by the 2nd week of April, we should be good. What a relief!! I will check back tomorrow to see if the case is complete (going by your advice, Saylin! :lol:)
