Hi: I just got off of the phone with NVC and they said, "case complete". But no interview dates available for April at the Jakarta Embassy and to call back in the 2nd week in April for the interview date. Since April 1st is on a Friday, does that mean that the second week starts on the 4th of April? I would assume that they really won't have any interview dates for April if the NVC operator really knows??

Personal Info:

ya, these queues can be troublesome, if'n ya forget what they are.

SIF at the online payment portal usually means yer in 'case complete' status, but

then the casefile gets lobbed over into the 'final review' queue - once it's finished there

it's lobbed over into the 'awaiting interview scheduling' queue.

Queues are important, each has it's own 'wait' time - usually each thing actually takes 15 minutes of a human's time, but..

as there's a queue for each step, yer waiting on the other casefiles to finish up before a human will touch yours.

'case complete' only means 'NVC has all of yer documents'

and sometimes during final review, a checklist letter response is sent back, as they found something missing or incorrect.

Good Luck ! Call NVC often, ask about final review and status of final review.

Thanks Darnell, you are very helpful.

Most Appointments for Interview -

when NVC handles the scheduling -

the actual date is 30 to 45 days out, past the actual scheduling process..

So - if you wrap up with final review this week, and get scheduled next week -

it won't be for April - the appointment will be scheduled NEXT WEEK for MAY...

make sense?

that casefile has to travel, la.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Nothing new today for us either! Same old message about DS-230 being under review! How long does it take for them to review a few documents? :crying: All this waiting is just frustrating! I know others have gone through this same pain as well, so we just have to be a little patient!

Hi to all! We are new here in this thread, we decided to join coz we are learning a lot & at the same time having fun reading reading your posts.

We received our NOA2-email 3/21 & received the hardcopy 3/26. I've been calling NVC-AVR system to check if our case arrived already & it keeps saying that they have no record of our case, so I decided to call the operator & they told me that my case just arrived 3/21 & they told me to call after 4-6wks from the time they received it, coz they still need to put the case in the system. I was approved 3/21 & my case arrived NVC 3/21, is that possible? So, I called them again to confirm when did it arrived exactly & they told me the same thing. Right now, we are in the same boat as our friends here in March-NVC filers who are waiting for their case#, hopefully we all get it soon  . We are planning to call NVC 2x a day (following Saylin's advice) until we get our case# so hubby could start his medical. Congratulations & Goodluck to all! :)

Grats! kicking.gif

It does seem a little weird that you got the approval on 3/21 and that NVC received it on the same date. blink.gif On your NOA2 hardcopy, what's your 'notice date'? Is it the 21st? I only received my approval notification on 1/26, yet my NOA2 date is 1/25. Perhaps yours is the same and it was a few days early and your case just got shipped super quickly to NVC.

And yes, definitely keep calling each day, twice a day, until you get your case number. You'll most likely get it from an operator before you get it from the AVR. Hope you get it soon!

Well then, there goes my theory. I guess CSC shipped your case out the second it was approved, and it went by Super Turbo Express mail by airplane and arrived at NVC on the same day. laughing.gif
