She asked for that and I gave it to her and she asked our DOB and Telephone numbers....Anything else? Do we receive the DS3230 in his email or do we just automatically email something?

Perfect! Don't wait to receive anything from them--go ahead and email your DS-3032 using the template here on VJ. Also, sign into the payment portal and see if your AOS fee has been invoiced--if it's available, go ahead and pay it!

We too, got an email on Saturday stating the our DS-230 was missing. When in actuallity the auntomated recording and NVC operated confirmed they have received it and reviewing the documents.

As for some of US waiting for the Cairo Embassy to reopen, here is some information I got today from the Cairo Embassy and NVC.

- Cairo Embassy: said they would be opening mid April

- NVC: said they are already rescheduling interviews that had been canceled and setting new April & May interviews for the case completed at NVC

Now if only my case would be completed this week. Here's to hoping.

Good Luck wendy.. and thanks for the information

i was told last thursday that theymay open by the end of March and i left u a msg in this thread..but now u tell us its mid of april..we have nothing except pray and hoping that to happened soon

Yes that what they said last week, end of March. When I called today that how I started the conversation. Then the embassy guy said one month instead, so I asked him what about the end on the March which we were told last week. So then he rephrased himself, to mid April. That answer made me call the NVC to verify and they said they are scheduling for April and May.

Mashallah! Its been a very positive day.

Hey, guys and gals. I'm getting bored over at the October thread. Not much activity there anymore. But there are a lot of good info on that thread especially the original October NVC thread. Browse it leisurely when you have time to learn. Barring that, I've just completed the immigration journey a month ago. Ask me any question and I will try to help you, as much and as best as I can. :)

I love the Georgia font.

Congratulations on completing your visa journey!!! Lucky you! I am still keeping my fingers crossed to get my husband here soon!

I do have a question. How did you know when your documents were sent from NVC to Dhaka's embassy? Is that by talking to an operator at NVC, or is there another way to track these packages?

Call NVC and talk to an operator. I just got off the phone with NVC and she told me that they shipped our file to Brazil today!

Like you, an operator suggested I re-send the optin as well about 2 weeks after I sent the original. So I did. I think 3 days later, I got my optin acceptance. I'm not sure if they accepted my original or the second one I had sent. It won't hurt if you send a second, just don't be sending one every single day. I mentioned in my second one that an operator suggested I re-send it and listed the date and time of my original optin email.
