Just wanted to introduce myself... just got the text and email last Wednesday evening that our petition was approved which brings me here now!! I have been gathering and prepping our things for a few weeks now to assist in quicker process through the NVC stage, but still waiting on my husband to get his things done and compiled. Our only hiccup at the moment is getting everything he needs for the police clearance since he does have an old pardoned offense. We should know more this week, but I am extremely confident that we'll be able to glide through NVC without too many hitches.

Saylin, I am planning on using your guide, step-by-step, so thank you in advance for putting that together.

Grats on getting your NOA2! kicking.gif

And your welcome! That's why I put it together, to help other Canadians! If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask me. :)

Congrats on you approval and welcome to the slightly less wacky world of NVC. You are right, follow the Sensei's guide and NVC will be a breeze!

Thank you all for the warm welcome... I hope my visit to this thread is short! (no offense... just ready for interviews and being with my sweetie!)

If you guys dont' mind... how long from getting your notification that your petition was approved until you received your case number? I'm being patient (i promise!!) but just curious to others in this same month.

My case was approved on Jan 25 and I got my case number on Feb 1, exactly one week later.

I've learned that it's taking long time now. Maybe because of the bunch of approvals that belongs to 36,000 I-130s. Please see my signature below to answer your question.

Yea, that's the best thing to do for them to correct/change it. I hope you all the best with NSO.

Hey everyone, how is everybody?

Had such a busy Monday, read the posts here but didnt even have time to write. News update, I finally sent out our IV package. I read in another forum that even though the Cairo embassy is closed, NVC is still forwarding the cases to them. I guess thats good. At least as soon as the reasume with the visas again our will be already there and I can only hope for a quick interview date in April or May.

Hoping everyone has a good week.

I am putting my docs for the IV to sent by EP and i just realise i can't scan the full length of my marriage certificate. Was wandering if any one has faced a similar problem and how they fixed it. i am able to scan like 90% of it and all the relevant info shows but was just worried they would reject it if not completely viewable.

What about making a copy first at 90% and then scanning that. Thats what i did, since Egypt uses larger paper then we do here.
