Hi guys. Just checking i again. Since I sent the paperwork last Friday, I guess I just have to look at what's next to do and expect, while praying we dont get an RFE. Will be stalking Dan-tes on how he did things after CC. (Paging Dan-Tes :D ) Hopefully there are Filipino versions of Saylin too..( Filipino VJ Immigrant Expert), who will always be willing to assist abt questions with the consulate. Knowing VJ, I'm sure there are.

It just dawned on me that after NVC, we TSC hostages are on different routes now...

Hola everyone, I've been M.I.A. for a few days. I'm still waiting for my hubby's originals. I asked him did u send it by donkey or what? He asnwers, Noo habibi by camel. :bonk: Omg I felt like killing him first for being a smart a**. Now I laugh when I remember.

At least when I called NVC today, they confirmed they got my AOS package and that everything was fine and that we wouldn't be getting a RFE. That they were just waiting for our IV package.

Also waiting for the embassy in Napoli response. Praying that they will accept our request to move our case there instead of it going to Cairo when its completed at the NVC.

Saylin congrats on ur CC. Cant wait to join you.

Hi Wendy..i will sent my 2 packages by the end of this week..but i have the same problem as u..i wish the embassy here to open soon..dont u hear any thing about that..or the reason, ofcourse ur husband told u that some way egypt is okay and there is no reason 4 closing right now..plz tell me what u will do. and if u know anything about cairo embassy.thanks

everytime I go to NSO to get a copy of my BC they always give the same kind i can barely read my name. . .

Bring a copy of your local birth certificate, authenticated, have a letter from the lawyer requesting to change it or make it clearer, they will do it for you. My mom did it :) Or I hope authenticated copy from local registrar office will do but you might get an RFE for that so better try the process I gave. From where is your wife? Is wife the beneficiary?

I would suggest using paperclips instead. If the papers have to be taken apart for whatever reason, it'd be easier if it was just a paperclip than a staple.

Got a mail from NVC about the DS3032 (same from the email). But we are done with NVC already. It was just an impressive mail since it was just dispatched Mar 16 and I received it today, Mar 21, our 9months of being married :)

Interesting that they sent you by mail the DS-3032, even though you were finished with NVC just prior to them mailing it out. What is NVC doing headbonk.gif

Got a quick question about the payment portals and the online forms' portal. i am able to sign in to the online forms and have sent the DS 261, i can also see the invoices (both grayed out so not yet available for payment) so i am not sure if i have to use this portal for the fees or the payment portal. if i have to use the payment portal then i was just wandering if i can log into it only when the fees are available for payment because i keep getting SIF. Well as you can tell i am twiddling my thumbs waiting for morning but just wanted to put this out there to glean other peoples' opinions. Thanks a bunch.

The site for the online forms, once the bills are available and you click to pay them, they'll direct you to the payment portal site to pay. So you should be able to log into the payment portal only when the bills become available since you're presently getting a SIF. Since your case number was just assigned on Friday, then the AOS should appear sometime early this week for you to pay. And then you'll be able to log into the payment portal to pay it. Once your Ds-261 is accepted, then the IV bill will appear as well which should be later this week.

I noticed it wasn't Mar 16 that they sent it out. The date in the letter is Feb 18. Mar 16 was the date it arrived to the Philippines. WHOAH! Normal mail, I think.

From where are you? Maybe you can try to go to NSO first and bring a the BC from local registry and have them change it.

Oh, Feb 18 is a much more reasonable date for NVC to send it out since you had just gotten into the system. And wow, it took almost a month to get to you! Good thing you were proactive at NVC and weren't waiting for anything in the mail ;)

Just wanted to introduce myself... just got the text and email last Wednesday evening that our petition was approved which brings me here now!! I have been gathering and prepping our things for a few weeks now to assist in quicker process through the NVC stage, but still waiting on my husband to get his things done and compiled. Our only hiccup at the moment is getting everything he needs for the police clearance since he does have an old pardoned offense. We should know more this week, but I am extremely confident that we'll be able to glide through NVC without too many hitches.

Saylin, I am planning on using your guide, step-by-step, so thank you in advance for putting that together.
