my husband already has the AOS (not sure if it's $70 or $88) bill, after I emailed them the choice of agent should we pay the AOS right away? or should we wait till they confirm they got the choice of agent?

The AOS is $88 and it has nothing to do with the DS-3032, so pay it right away.

Saylin,

Finally mailed both the AOS and IV packet 3/18. Hopefully no RFEs..This waiting game is tooooo long enough that I need to dye my hair time and time again!

Thanks, updated the spreadsheet.

And yes, the waiting game is way too long. It's only been 9 days from my CC and the wait for my interview date is already killing me.

You should dye your hair pink like mine ;)

If you had a previous J1 visa, you need to show proof you fulfilled the residency requirements and need to send that with the IV package.

The SIF is with the payment portal site. It's the only website that NVC has for applicants and petitioners to check.

I'm not sure if it's required by NVC to put the beneficiary's name, date of birth, and case number on the back of the 2 passport-style pictures. You might be okay.

There is nothing about signing them on the NVC site either.

Then it's probably just a suggestion by VJ members, like with the cover letter. Cover letters aren't required by NVC, but are suggested by VJ members. You should be fine then.
