can a us citizen abroad on tourist visa file i-130 in USA??

i am a USC currently in India with my spouse and want to file i-130 for him. so can i mail my documents to Chicago lockbox eventhough i m in India and going to be staying here for 6 months??

Of course. Later though, you'll need to make sure you have the domicile and sponsorship issues covered. You'll also need to use a US address as your current address, as you do not "reside" in India. You're only visiting.

Yup, as pushbrk says, it is not a problem. I recommend you use the US address of a friend or family member who can forward any correspondance USCIS may send you.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.
