I am seeking info in preparing the documentation that I am to bring to my interview at the Vancouver Consulate in March. Seeking info about type of organization for this stuff along with suggestions about content. I have compiled everything needed as far as I can tell (please advise if you see anything missing):

Noa1

Noa2

birth certificate (long form)

Application for for non immigrant

Biographical info (part 1 & 2)

I-134 for USC and co-sponsor along with tax forms for USC and letter from employer, and tax forms for his father (co-sponsor)

Letters of intent from USC and Beneficiary

Passport photos

Copy of passport ID page

Police Certificate

In addition, we have the following proof (feel free to comment and let me know of other possible proof of relationship):

Phone records

Joint account information for Wells Fargo USA (not a lot of activity on this account, but it exists at least)

greeting cards to each other, and to us from his family

receipts showing I was in the USA to correspond with boarding passes and mileage points for flights taken

boarding passes

mileage plan sheet for both of us that shows all completed flights and names of passenger

passport stamps photocopied

20, 4x6 pictures of us together and with his family in various locations, dated and location written on back

Letter from his parents signed and dated stating their acknowledgement of our engagement and support of it

Note: We do not have a ring, and we have not made concrete wedding plans as of yet. Planning to marry at courthouse upon arrival and plan a committment ceremony when the immigration stuff dies down... suggestions regarding this welcome as well :)

Medical is booked as well for the same day, so that will also be included.

Hi hithalynn,

What you have seems plenty to me. I had all my documents organized in an accordeon folder thingy. Make sure you make copies of everything. They might ask for documents, give them the copy and if they want to see the originals, you'll have them with you (especially with the tax stuff). You seem to have plenty of evidence as well, as a matter of fact, when I had my interview they didn't ask to see any of it! Make sure you have the print-out of the P3 that you send back to the consulate, I know in Montreal I had to give them the confirmation page. It might not hurt to have copies of the USC's ID, such as the bio info page of his passport, his driver's license and birth certificate. I don't remember if I was asked for them, but I know some people have (again, in Montreal).

Hope your interview goes well, you'll see you'll wonder why you stressed so much about it when it's done!

Excellent, thanks a ton!

Do you know anything about the I-129f packet? I have been told to bring a copy of it to the interview, but I am not sure if this is necessary. It is like 50 pages worth of proof, etc. so I would rather not if at all possible. Any suggestions on this welcome.

I don't recall them asking to see it, no... But then again, you might fall on someone who wants to see it, and you won't have it... It might be worth the 5$ at Staples for peace of mind (but that's coming from someone who worries about everything all the time, so your call! lol!)

K-1s do not give original documents to the interviewer. They must give the original AND a copy of birth cert, etc. The only original they keep is the police report. They give the other originals back and keep the copys you make for them.

You do not need to bring the evidence from the I-129F, you need to bring the forms and main parts of evidence incase something is missing during your interview or they cant find something. If you have a copy they can continue if not they stop the interview and continue later when you have the document or they find it.
