We did not choose the date - it was the most auspicious date according to my FIL who happens to be an astrologer. :)

In retrospect I think you couldn't have a better anniversary date - Summer Solstice! I told G since we got married on the sunniest day of the year our married life will be full of sunshine - corny I know... :lol:

What kinda sux about it is both of our birthdays and now our anniversary are in roughly the same span of time - my bday 5/7, his bday 6/3, anniversary 6/21.

That date was thanks to IMBRA and the USCIS. We had really wanted a date in September, October or thereabouts.

Lady, people aren't chocolates. Do you know what they are mostly? Bastards. ####### coated bastards with ####### filling. But I don't find them half as annoying as I find naive bobble-headed optimists who walk around vomiting sunshine.

we got married on Nov 23/05 (courthouse) than on May 28/ 06(american Wedding) and than July 16 06 (swiss forest cottage wedding) our anyversery is May 28th because it is close to Memorial day verses Thanksgiving or my Birthday

We met on Feb 16th 2001 So when everything was approved, I moved over on the 17th of Dec, I would have liked our wedding date to be Feb 16th but I was worried about filing so we got married a month earlier on Jan 16th (10 days after my birthday)

19 Jul, 05 Recieved AOS interview letter

21 Jul, 05 Ray is finally home !!

22 Sep, 05 AOS interview !!!

22 Sep, 05 AOS approved awaiting Green card in the mail !!!

Received Green card... but i can't remember when Sorry

13 Mar, 06 passed GED.

8 Apr, 06 Started work !!

7 Sept,07 Sent off I-751 to remove conditional residence status.

(keeping our fingers crossed we don't get an RFE!!)

10 Sept, 07 I-751 delivered at 11:27 AM on in LAGUNA NIGUEL, CA 92607.

22 Sept, 07 Green card expired.

24 Sept, 07 Called bank to see if check had been cashed - it hasn't ! :(

29 Sept, 07 Cashiers check cashed !!! WOOHOO that is a load off my mind !!!

1 Oct, 07 Called bank to see if cashiers check had been cashed !! see above !!

1 Oct, 07 NOA 1 received in mail.

3 Oct, 07 Biometrics appointment received in mail.

20 Oct, 07 Biometrics appointment.

1 Dec, 07 Decision of approval

7 Dec, 07 Received letter stating that my green card is on its way... no interview for us !!

14 Dec, 07 Received 10 year green card in the mail

Done with USCIS til mid Sept 2017 (card exp. 12/7/2017) :oD

We got married Dec. 28th. I wanted New Years Eve but due to EID the official offices were closed so it was either start early or wait a week after that when the Holiday was over for the offices to open again. Hmmm....
