My fiancee was born in Vinh Long. She moved to HCM city at the age of 20 and has lived there since.

For her interview, does she only need to get the original justice record check for HCM city. Or

does she need one for Vinh Long too? Her interview is in two weeks and she might not get the

justice record check in time...will they still interview her or reschedule? Thanks in advance.

Bob,

I think they would still interview her but they may give you a blue slip. Personally, I would not reschedule because it may take forever to get another interview. This say, I am not an expert. I am sure many other on this forum have more knowledge than I do.

The police certificate from the justice dept in HCMC will be what they want. she does not need anything aside from that when it comes to the police cert.. just the one. Be sure that it looks like the example Lindal has posted in the photo/doc area here...

Scott - I'm a little confused.

I thought what they need is the Justice check of where the Family is actually registered and not police certificate?

Police certificates are require if the beneficiary has lived outside Vietnam.

Does this makes sense?

my fiancee was born near thanh hoa, but moved to hcm to work. she got hers at thanh hoa and it was fine. the TH dept explained to her that if anything happened in HCM they would send the notice back to TH to be updated anyways.

of course this is vietnam and there's no uniformity, rhyme or reason to anything they do over there...but that was good enough for us at the interview.
