We have received the NOA2 and are now waiting for the packet from the consulate. Can anyone tell us how to find out if the NVC has indeed received our case? How do we know if the consulate has received the info. from the NVC?

I recently received NOA2 and called NVC about a week after receipt. They were able to tell me that they got the file and sent it to the consulate. I e mailed the consulate with the file Number given by NVC and they confirmed receipt. I sent my fiance in to pick up packet 3.

Call NVC - best time to call is either early in the morning or late at night - talk to a live operator and give them your NOA1 number. You'll be asked to provide them with the beneficiary's birth date and name and the petitioner's phone number. They'll be able to tell you whether they've received it or not, your new case number and when they've sent it to the consulate. After that, to confirm the consulate got the case from NVC, you'll have to contact the consulate directly.
