CVC Web Site 'Reschedule Appointment' Option

Hello! I've just a quick question regarding rescheduling an appointment on the CSC Visa Information Service web site (http://canada.usvisa-info.com/).

If I select the Reschedule Appointment option, does that automatically and immediately cancel the appointment I currently have? I just want to see if any spots have freed up with cancellations but I am slightly terrified I will click on that and lose my scheduled interview date.

Such a mundane question but their 'contact us' feature isn't available for questions of this nature. I'm hoping someone has had to click on this option!

Cheers!

No. If you click Reschedule Appointment, it will give you the earliest date and then ask if you want to reschedule based on that date. All you have to do is click no afterward. I've checked many times to see if any earlier appointments have opened up. Even if you don't click no, and just exit out of the page, your original appointment still stands. :) No worries!

The only one that opened up was March 21st. I would have taken it, but I was worried about rescheduling my medical and my fiance getting me the I-134 and supporting evidence in time. That's the only time I've seen an earlier date open up for me. It's showing beginning of June now.

Well, that's good to know, I suppose. The DoS gave me the impression this morning that Montreal had received our case, so we are just about at that stage. Do you check pretty regularly?

I checked just now out of curiosity and the earliest date was June 8th. :)
