can you get a medical in the states instead of mtl or van?

I was looking through approved civil surgeons in the states and see there is one across the border (3 hour drive away). Does anyone know if I can go to an American civil surgeon and not a Canadian one?

Sorry, but the consulate only recognizes the medicals done at the offices listed above. You have Toronto, Vancouver, or Quebec to choose from

Nope, Civil Surgeons in the USA can only fill out an I-693 which is usable only for adjustment of status in the USA.

Only the following physicians are designated to perform a medical examination for U.S. immigration:
