I'm getting ready to head back after a month of job searching here in the States. We'll live good on our investment we started last month for sure!

I drove OTR for Schneider ('till I got injured/workers comp) and it could be a good way for someone to earn decent money. My friend's husband just started driving for Swift and he likes it ok, but many of their drivers are sitting and waiting for freight, which could be why I didn't bother applying. My only concern of being a fiance to a K-1 beneficiary is how do you manage all of the 'little things' that must be done on the way (sending money, paperwork) and what not. I do, however, think driving truck was one of the best jobs I've ever had, and if I hadn't been injured I might still be driving for them.

Funny, I was looking into Truck Schools Today. Thanks

Driving jobs can't be out sourced. You can lay off all the workers in a US manufacturing plant and move over the pond. But you can't do that with the trucking companies. Transportation costs are pretty much fixed. The product always needs to get to market; regardless of where it is produced be it China, Mexico, Indonesia, Malaysia, Taiwan, India, Bangladesh etc... Can't dispute what I am saying!!!

Couldn't be said any better. I'll just be laying low in the Philippines while the economy recovers.

You can't fix what you can't fix.

Manila doesn't usually accept joint sponsors with K visas, but they have no choice with CR visas. If you can't get your income situation sorted out before the interview then pull the petition, take a little holiday in the PI, and marry your fiancee. File for a CR1.

Jim, this is what my Attouney said as well. Were only weeks (or less) from the NOA2. The Attouney stated: Lets get the 129-F approved first. (NOA2) and go from there.

After the Approval of the NOA2 you still have time to get employment even if it's not from Union and a less wage than what you used to make and be able to submit proof of employment for her at the interview, even if it's only $10.00/$12.00 an hour.

My currant Unemployment Benefits still meet A Year to Date 125% Poverty level. ($365.00 per week X 52 = $18,980.00)

Spring is here in Oregon Now and still no work at the Union. Time to take a less paying job so Mav will have proof of Income that is NOT Unemployment Benefits.

I read Gary's and Alla's Post and I think Gary said (not sure) : About 3 Months of Check stubs at your currant rate of pay WORKING is your Gross Income. Meaning: $12.00 an hour or Report $ 24,960.00 as Currant Income.

Still Confused I guess.
