Once you receive the visa in your passport, you have 6 months to enter the U.S. before it expires.

The issued and expiration dates will be printed on the visa.

Once you arrive in the U.S., it is valid for 90 days. BEFORE those 90 days are up, you must submit your AOS. The sooner the better.

The visa is for one time entry and becomes invalid once used.

Yes.

Sorry I should have been more clear. I did not word it correctly at all. My apologies.

OP - you have 90 days to get married once entering the U.S. That is part of what you agreed upon receiving your visa. If you do not marry within those 90 days, you are in the U.S. illegally and you will not be able to adjust status and get your greencard.

You can apply for AOS after those 90 days, but once again, the sooner the better.

When the passport comes back from the consulate, double check everything printed on the visa. Name, dates, everything (even the sex of the alien). All have been known to be listed incorrectly.

The visa should state that it is valid for 6 months from date of issuance.

I will see you one day again, my love.

The visa will state nothing of the kind. It will simply bear an issue date and an expiration date. In many cases those dates are less than six months apart, almost always less through Manila. The visa is valid for one entry prior to the expiration date. It's never been clear to me whether entry ON the expiration date is allowed. I wouldn't chance it.

Yes typically good for 6 months, but see what the visa says when it is issued. Like Pushbrk says...manila seems to do something strange like that....but I think it is because most applicants do an advanced medical.
