Has anyone faxed immigration documents to Africa? How did you do it? Did it cost a lot? I was thinking of sending documents to Senegal Africa.

Best method is to send them by attachments via e-mail. You'll get the exact cleaner copies than the fax. Otherwise, send them by international Document Express. USPS charges $16 and it's gonna get there in 3-5 days.

I have faxed. It is possible, but I think I paid $3 per page. He paid less than a dollar for each page. We did have troubles just getting a good enough phone connection, but once it went through it was fine.

I faxed a copy of the NVC letter to Segun. He had me send it to an 866 toll free number and with in seconds it was in his email. From there he just printed it out. I will try and find out the particulars of this service and post it.

I would suggest scanning the document, then sending it as an attachment. (Cheapest and fastest method) This way your SO will have a clean, picture perfect replica. I attempted to fax immigration documents in the past, however the print quality was always compromised.

Hubby ended up scanning his passport, police report, and criminal background check (including fingerprints), and emailing them to me. Anyway these documents went through NVC w/o any problem.

I had papers faxed to me from Nigeria and the copies got to me well enough to read, and immigration accepted them, they also accepted the NOA2 that I faxed to him, he did mention that the fax he received from me was a little hard to read. He'll have to find a place there where they do faxing and foward you the phone number and then you can send, although it does seem easier to send an attachment thru e-mail.
