Would it be possible to extend the period of time someone has to edit their posts? Sometimes someone puts up personal information that they later realize they'd like to delete. Or, someone is in a p*ssy mood and says something they shouldn't, and would later like to retract.

Sometime in 2008 - Received 10 year GC. Almost done with USCIS for life inshaAllah! Huzzah!

02/23/09 - Apply for citizenship

06/15/09 - Citizenship interview

07/15/09 - Citizenship ceremony. Alhamdulilah, the US now has another american muslim!

there is a 5min timelimit ... this has been brought up in the past (several times) and per ewok:

You can make edits within 5 minutes currently. This was pulled in from indefinately due to abuse in the past when people made changes to what they said and denied saying it...

this should serve as a reminder to people not to post in haste, to use the spellchecker, to use the preview post option, and to really just think about what they're posting. :thumbs:

I guess as in real life you sometimes just have to live the things you spout in haste....5 mins is good I think to delete stupid stuff...unless your are drunk of course and pass out then read it the next day...OUCH!!...glad I am on the wagon these days.. :lol:
