So does that mean I can quit my job by emailing my boss? Just forward on my letter of resignation?

:star: Cass (bebop the great)

Yes. then text it to them on their cell.

I actually like it. As someone who has been laid off, I would have rather had it done through e-mail, then you really can know without a doubt that it's nothing personal. The meeting felt like I was being fired.

Back in the UK I read about this guy who got suspended from his job for using the phrase "pedagogic approach" in a company email. His boss apparently though he mean't something else beginning with "ped..". When he found out what it mean't, rather than apologise he apparently sent out a company-wide email saying something to the effect of "from now on company emails should only contain words that could be found within the pages of an average Sunday newspaper".

After which the employee apparently tendered his resignation letter - cutting out the words from various newspapers...

I agree. Would save me $9.00 in gas too. Who wants to drive for 45 minutes just to find out they're fired?

That's how they do it at Foxconn/HP, by the way. You show up and your badge no longer works to get through the cattle gate....erm.....I mean turnstile. If that happens, you should just go ahead and give the guard your badge, turn around, and drive back home. If you're the normal employee there, you already have the Careerbuilder site bookmarked, and a few jobs saved in your favourites. LOL

Would much rather save myself the time and gas money.

Lady, people aren't chocolates. Do you know what they are mostly? Bastards. ####### coated bastards with ####### filling. But I don't find them half as annoying as I find naive bobble-headed optimists who walk around vomiting sunshine.
