Letter from NHS doc for medical

My fiance wants/needs to get a letter from doctor about medication she is on for anxiety to take to the medical. We understand that they will ask her questions about being treated for mental health, etc, so would rather come in with something than have to go get something.

My question is, is it ok for the doctor to produce a simple business style letter stating the medication she is on, why she is on it, and that the condition is not serious, etc, and have the doc sign it whatever? This would be more helpful for us than getting some sort of offical hospital or NHS document, cuz they told us they could not prepare that in time for our medical.

I'm curious as to what anyone has brought with them, or perhaps been asked to produce for such a situation. I could prepare a great template letter that the doctor could simply approve and sign! What do you think???

I also would be interested in the answer as i also suffer from anxiety and didnt really think about taking a letter from my GP, but you may be right to be prepared.

Hi Guys,

I took with me a "handwritten" lol letter from my GP that briefly goes over my medication, my current health and any medical issues. The doc at knightsbridge was fine with it.

You two will be fine.

PS the doc at knightsbridge really likes it when you DO provide some form of letter. He told me alot of people don't even with whats considered a minor background illness or not so strong medication. It's best to have backup so he cannot argue with a darn thing OR question your answers because you know the health profession. It has to be there in black and white.
