I don't get it, letter to Fiancee from embassy refers to site that says to bring Ds 156,156k and 157 however I just called the 214 area coded number and the robot says I need to fill out the DS160 online form.

Now I've been reading the most recent post I can find here and they say Manila has not upgraded to the DS160 yet and that the DS 156 etc. are still required. Does anybody here have the latest update on this?

Thank you for your time

hank

Hi, DS-160 is not needed in K1 Manila.. trust me on this!

When setting up your interview online, please make sure to make the appointment via the immigrant section, not non-immigrant.

If you have any more questions, feel free to ask :)

My Journey:

We met through a study-abroad program in Shanghai, China in August of 2009

We got engaged March of 2010

I received my K1 VISA in 6 months (June-December 2010)

We were married 04/02/2011
I received my conditional 2-year greencard (AOS) in 2.5 months with no interview (April-June 2011)

Our son was born 02/03/2013

I received my masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology 04/17/2013

I received my 10-year greencard (ROC) in 3 months with no interview (March-June 2013)

My husband returned from deployment 06/20/2013

My naturalization journey took 4 months (April-August 2014)

I became a US citizen on 08/01/2014

Received passport in 3 weeks (regular processing)

Thank you, VJ! smile.png

You don't need to fill out the DS160...K-1 visa beneficiaries are exempt...Just bring DS156, 156K and 157 to interview...click on this link for more info http://photos.state.gov/libraries/manila/19452/public/Revised%20K1%20Instruction%20Packet%20_3__rtf2_001.pdf

All the best!

Got through on the phone but was advised that the appointment system had moved to online only. Works ok only picky about password choice, actually pretty easy to do. Sorry for posting in wrong area.
