Recent interviews, was the embassy crowded?

I'd like to hear some responses from people who have been to an interview at an embassy abroad. Were there lines to get in? Were there a lot of people there for interviews? With all the discussions of how long NOA2's have been taking recently, you would think CO's are sitting on their hands waiting for people to interview. We waited over three months from case complete at NVC for my wife's interview at the embassy in Bogota, and the place was packed. I have a feeling this is the case at most consulates, and maybe this is part of the reason NOA2's are taking so long right now.

I think CR1 cases to the U.S. Embassy in Colombia takes a long time, I read the processing timeline for our own petition in other countries and do not take as much time here, I've been waiting 10 months of the date of interview and finally assigned for March 16. USCIS takes me a little over 6 months to approve our request

I know what it's like at the embassy in Bogota, crowded, and it took over three months from NVC till interview day. What I'm looking for is anyone who has been to other embassies in the last month or two. Is it crowded in London as well? Moscow? Manilla? Juarez? Islamabad? Are they running at full capacity? Is the USCIS just a bunch of dumbasses who don't know what they are doing or are they intentionally metering the flow of approved petitions to NVC which go on to the embassies for interviews?

I got there (USA embassy in Bogota) at 5 am pitch black and I was about 5th on line. By the time I exited the complex around 1030am there must have been a thousand or more on line. The embassy from what I have seen (and I have been there twice) is always packed solid with visa seakers.

I just have a feeling people will have similar experiences at other embassies. Or is anyone finished at NVC and still waiting for an interview date? In other countries besides Colombia?

You know, i was wondering the same thing. I have been looking at other couples' timelines, same case as mine, and it seems that they all have waited about 3 months for an interview...that's crazy. Why does it take so long? I have been wondering if i'm gonna have to wait more time than what i have waited for everything.....ughhhh!!!!!
