I'm happy to report I have an interview date, Sept. 14. I would still prefer an earlier date. Any suggestions on how to do this would be appreciated, or do I just keep checking the booking calander ? Still no package #3 but I have received an email confirmation for package #4.

Just keep checking, alas.

Keep looking on the CSC website for earlier appointments. In the last few months they've been releasing earlier appointments mid to end month. Ex. At the end of April there would release new May appointments.

Thanks for the tips and great info. I must say, I would have been totally lost had it not been for this site. Y'all are the best. Ha ha, I have to start talkin' like a southerner. I'm headed for a new life in Alabama with a wonderful southern belle.

Yay!!!! I called DOS yesterday and was told my visa was issued on June 6. Guess I can finally start planning that wedding

There was no waybill available yet at DOS or anything displayed on CSC and DHL.ca websites. How long does it usually take until it's delivered to my DHL branch?

Congrats to SF2007! I hope your Visa comes within a day or two - you've waited long enough!

I have another question for everyone... I'm reading through the reviews of the Montreal Consulate interviews, and some people are saying they're bringing xrays to the interview, just in case. What's this for? I haven't even heard of it! Should I have my fiance get one within the next couple of weeks and take it in?

When did that spot come up? I looked today and there was an opening Aug 19th...not worth changing for me (mine is Aug 23). This evening I seen they are booking into mid September.

Glad things worked out for you!

Lise

I don't know if there is any pattern to earlier interview dates coming up. I have been checking 2-3 times a day for a 10 days now.

I saw the August 8 slot Monday June 6 and 7:15 EST. and grabbed it. I will let everyone know if i see a pattern, but i suspect its just based on someone else reschduling or dropping out of the process and its just pure luck if you are on the USA visa service site at the right time.

Hey BM Canada!

The Xray is part of the required medical. They will send it with the medical documents to your fiance a couple of days after the medical.

I'm sorry if these questions are so irritating... I'm actually the petitioner and trying to figure out what to do for the beneficiary (then I try to explain it to him instead of complicating things). My fiance is flying into Montreal a few days before the interview (it's on a Monday) and getting the medical done then. I'm seeing some places say three business days ahead, so hopefully Wednesday before will be ample time. The reason being is that Montreal/Toronto are about a 24 hour drive for him (he's just east of the Manitoba/Ontario border).

Does anyone know if the medical is sent to the consulate directly, or if he has to go and pick it up?

Thanks again for all of your help!

Your questions are not irritating but it is appreciated when people do a little research before asking questions that have been answered on this thread before

Your fiance will need to pick it up himself and 3 days are required for Medisys to process his medical results. That's if he doesn't need anything retested. If he goes Monday it means his results should be ready some time Wednesday. Not sure about the other place in Montreal.

If the results are not ready by his interview, the clinic will provide him a sealed letter and he will need to mail it in later with his passport. If you complete your application by mail after your interview it results in a 6 to 8 week delay from the moment they receive it.

Edit : you might want to start your own threat for case related questions. You would get more answers.
