One thing I don't understand is that I called a week ago and they said that Montreal hadn't even received it yet. Maybe it was logged and sent away on the same day. Who knows....as long as its on it's way.

Hey everyone!

Hopefully someone following this thread can help with this. I'm signed on to the Visa service website, but there was never any page that came up to confirm a DHL location. I was able to select the consulate and the type of visa, but there was never anything that came up for DHL. I just get sent to my applicant summary page. Any ideas what to do?

give it a few days then log back in and try again. This is a bit of a bug and has happen to a few people before.

There is still no option to choose DHL...

Maybe it will come up when I book my interview?

Hi,

I'm in the same boat as many of you here. My case was approved Jan26th. Forwared to Montreal on the 31st. Received on the 8th electronically. Received on the 23rd physically. I know they have looked at it because they asked for my fiancee's proof of residence which we sent through DHL.

DOS Visa services tells me Packet 3 was sent on February 1. Whether or not this is correct, we never got it.

So we are preparing the forms and are about ready to send them in. Where is packet 3? No idea. The consulate has been answering my emails, one was even answered the same day! I almost fell over. Now I need to ask them about this next. We already told them in the DHL RFE response that we didn't get Packet 3.

Other consulates email packet 3, what a novel idea.

Good luck!

DoS also told me Packet 3 was mailed on February 1st, but they also insisted NVC sent my case to Montreal on February 3rd so I'm guessing they were clueless about the process. Something might have happened Feb 1st, but the most recent news we've heard is that Feb 23rd, they sent a letter inquiring about my status in Canada. That means Packet 3 has not been sent yet, if things are being done in the order we expect them.

I was told by the consulate through email that my Packet 3 was not sent. They are waiting for the proof of status that we sent last week through DHL. So I attached it in an email and begged them to use that. So far their response time through email has been great. I'm praying they will use the email attachment. It would help speed this up. They should just have sent packet 3 and asked for proof of status to be included in the packet, no? Instead they prolong the process by doing it this backwards way. I don't get it.

Hey, I also submitted proof of status last week and the DoS guy this morning told me Packet 3 was mailed yesterday (praise the Lord!) but I was also peeved - they could have requested the P3 paperwork with this proof and saved us both a whole lot of back and forth and if our lawyer hadn't been so quick to get my proof to the consulate, I would've sent the P3 paperwork with it, requested or not! :innocent:

Yea, it would have saved me a lot of stress too. It's definately not cool to get that letter asking about status. I was kicking myself because I was wondering about proving her Canadian status to them when I was compiling the I-129F packet, I was almost going to include it but didn't because it was NEVER asked for.

Actually I just got a response from them, they logged my DHL response and will send out packet 3. Phew
