Need Canuck views

Do you think e-mailing Mtl to see if using our K3 interview in Oct for our CR-1 that was case complete Aug 21 is a good idea or will it just tick them off?

I contacted them about the K3 saying I would take a cancellation date but I have the feeling it ticked them off and they are making us wait 5 months. It seemed to work for some.

Montreal really scares me but we have to try everything before proceeding with further steps.

Any insite?

I'd wait and see if the Cr-1 is first. You never know that might be earlier than the K3 interview. I thought the NVC schedules the Cr-1 interviews anyway ? Maybe I'm wrong but I thought I read that somewhere.

For cr-1, NVC schedules the Interview

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

I would email something like this :

I have recently been approved for a Cr-1 Mtl # XXXXXX. I would like to take advantage of all or any cancellation list. I am ready for the interview with all supporting evidence and can be there on very short notice.

Thank you for your time and patience.

But I thought I seen somewhere that NVC schedules cr-1 intervies maybe ask aussiewench she knows alot about the process or Zyggy.

NVC does schedule the interviews after Mtl tells them how many they can do. Girl37 was case complete on Aug 2 and didn't det a Sept interview so we're pushing it for Oct with case comp. date of Aug 21.

The nice man , Barney, at NVC was the one that said Mtl could request our file. I wish these guys in Mtl werenn't so abrupt when you ask them something. They're scarey and get me all confused when I call. When I get off the phone I think of a dozen other things I should have asked after hearing ttheir responses.
