Interview in London--finally!

Hello VJers,

Thanks in advance for any advice you may have. Well...after having our intial interview CANCELLED in Dublin, we finally got an interview date set in London for this Tuesday, February 22nd. Luckily (after NVC's giant screw-up) the kind people at the London embassy got us in quickly!

Here's what I'm worried about: the beneficiary (my husband) will be flying from Northern Ireland to London to attend the interview AND the medical in the same day (ah!). I'm terrified that we'll forget some silly piece of paperwork and this process will drag on...

He's taking the following:

1. Passport and photos

2. A copy of the I-130 packet

3. A copy of the the Affidavit of Support packet

4. Certified copies of the marriage cert and his birth certificate (these are extra copies--the embassy should have the originals)

5. The medical exam results from Dublin (sealed in an envelope...just in case they'll accept it at London)

6. A copy of the email from the London embassy stating his interview date/time

He has no interview appointment letter because the embassy just set his interview date/time THIS MORNING! I hope they aren't real sticklers about this.

For those of you in the U.K...did you need any other paperwork at the interview?? Am I forgetting anything?

AmyKathleen--Thanks for the reply. Hmm...he has copies of the police checks, yes, but the originals were sent to NVC (then to the Dub embassy, then onto London...I hope).

Thanks so much, Wayne and Claudia! The funny thing about the medical is...the doctor in Dublin advised my husband NOT to undergo another medical in London (at least the X-ray part) because it would expose him to unnecessary radiation!! I hadn't even thought of that. He's taking his Dub medical to the interview, so hopefully they'll accept the X-ray (at the least).
