O total até agora mínimo é de US$ 229.00 + US$ 3.00 + US$ 55.00 + US$ 75.00 = US$ 362.00

Continental is an American company and for that reason, it will not take care of shipping pets. They'll refer you to brokers who take care of the documents needed so pets can be brought to the U.S. The fee to ship the kennel + cat (with limit 22,5kg) is US$ 229.00. They also charge you for fuel; in this case, US$ 3.00 - according to what my cat weigh. The plane we'll take to Houston will get there on Tuesday early morning; customs won't be open so there'll be a US$ 55.00 fee to get the cat. The plane we'll get to Kansas City is small; the luggage compartment is not pressurized and there's no A/C, so the cat cannot fly with us. So a US$ 75.00 fee will be paid onsite (they'll keep the cat there and will send it later on on a later flight - pressurized luggage compartment this time. So, minimum total amout is US$ 229.00 + US$ 3.00 + US$ 55.00 + US$ 75.00 = US$ 362.00

This amount is paid to the broker of my choice, who will also charge me for his services. Not to mention money I'll spend on bureucracy stuff - health certificate, Infraero, notarization of documents, etc.

I only offer advice - not even legal. Just the plain and simple kind.

Well, I have the reservation with TAM from here to São Paulo. I'm still working on the Continental part. I'll post here after all is prepared, if it ever is blah :bonk:

:bonk:
