(Packet 3)

I know that Zaeem and I are not the only ones going through this Consulate now, so I thought I would post some information regarding this Consulate. I have found that they are very efficient, they do everything electronically, I don't believe they send packet three or four via mail, it is all sent via email. That is how they have done it with us anyway. We have now already requested our interview via internet, it will be posted within 2 weeks, and the Consulate stated that upon request of the interview, the interview will be held within 4 weeks. Attached are the forms from Packet three. Once you receive your NOA2, and it is forwarded to NVC and you receive your NCV case #, the medical can be scheduled. You don't have to wait for packet three, or even for it to get to the Consulate. Once it has left NVC, be sure and email the Korea Consulate asking them if they have received your case or not, and they will reply right away and attach packet three. The only form that has to be sent back from packet three is form DS - 230, you can either mail it back or fax it. We chose to fax it, it is just faster. I emailed them the next day to find out if they rec'd our fax and they emailed me back right away to let me know they did. They have been very helpful thus far. Once you have gathered all required documents, that is when you request interview via the internet. They will send you an email with your interview date, and this is considered packet 4. They will also post your interview on the website. Once the interview is requested, the USC should make sure all of the documents that are required of he/she are ready to be sent to the Beneficiary. I am sending mine next week.

We are going thru the Seoul Consulate also. We are now waiting for NVC to receive the I129F package. While waiting on this to finally get to Seoul, can my fiancee go ahead and start filling out the forms that are required for the Packet 3 or does she need to wait till she receive the packet and fill out the actual forms that are sent to her? Also what forms can I the USC get done now and have ready to make the process a little more faster? Thanx for info on the Consulate that you sent out.

For those of us going through the Korean Consulate, I requested my interveiw on 8/28/06, and today it was posted on the website.....my interview is 9/25/06 @ 8:30am.....they are very fast once you get packet three (which is only DS - 230) back to them, getting your interveiw scheduled. That is if you have everything together for the interview, such as police reports medical and so forth. It only took them one week to post my interveiw, and it was within 4 weeks of returning packet three.

For those of us going through the Korean Consulate click here for packet three documents Packet Three Documents this will help you get a head start on getting things ready prior to the interview.
