Wow only one other person with a storage room. So I do have a room (walkin closet) full of supplies. I have 10 Gal of water, One week of MREs (I think it can last two weeks if rationed) and other things like glow sticks, batteries, radio etc. I live roughly a mile from the Hayward Faultline hence the supplies.

If you eat nothing but MRE's for a week, you might want to include a couple jars of psyllium husk. Otherwise, you may suffer severe constipation, or worse.

Well here in the UK i wouldnt be prepped for any of those unless ment living on a rooftop of a bungalow.

My fiance isn't prepped either he's always saying I ain't hiding in my basement at every warning we have in the area

He talking of having a gun closet, so logical step would be do the food and water thing too maybe I can persuade him when next there

In a lot of natural disasters, the house would probably be destroyed or have to be abandoned. Could only take what would go in the car. I don't think 6 months of groceries are going to fit in my Mazda Protege.
