Good day! I'm a newbie and I have been reading most of the posts here and found them really helpful.

I am in the middle of my AOS and I just have a question to ask. Does it really make a difference if you acquire the services of an Immigration lawyer to get through this? Is there someone here who went through the whole process successfully without ever needing one?

Thanks! :)

P.S: I am currently being represented by a lawyer (thanks to my husband's insistence, LOL). Just wanted to know other people's views on this.

What visa are you adjusting from? Your timeline says "other"

We had no lawyer and didn't need one because our case was simple. No crimes, or overstay, or kids, or ex-marriages or anything to worry about.

Adjusting from Visitor visa is a different ball game. Intent differs. Most of the ppl here are K-1 holders.

Thread moved from AOS from a family visa to AOS from a Work, Student & Tourist Visa forum as OP is adjusting from a tourist visa

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”
